Economic Assistance

Forest City Development, Inc., is a business and economic development corporation that has been in existence and functioning for more than 45 years. The corporation is managed by a 29 member board consisting of key community executives, business owners and local entrepreneurs of Forest City. The corporation works extensively with local and state government in all aspects of economic development.

Housing

Primary Goal: To create and utilize different housing options to increase housing units in the community.

Industrial

Primary Goal: Expand the industrial base of Forest City by retaining and growing existing business and recruiting complementary industry.

Large Retail

Primary Goal: Recruit and/or retain large retail operations (Sales over $1 Mil.) to Forest City.

Commercial/Service businesses

Primary Goal: Recruit and retain service businesses in Forest City.

Professional

Primary Goal: To attract medical, dental, legal, accounting and other professionals to the community.
