WATER/WASTEWATER OPERATOR
City of Forest City, Iowa

The City of Forest City is seeking to hire a Water/Wastewater Operator to join our team.
Qualified applicants will operate the Water/Wastewater Treatment Facilities and Distribution
and Collection Systems. They will work under general direction of the assistant superintendent
for their respective area, with final accountability to the Water/Wastewater Superintendent.

A successful candidate must be able to meet a 15-minute response time, possess a minimum
Grade I Iowa Water, Water Distribution and Wastewater Treatment Operator’s licenses or
ability to secure same within two years of employment, meet residency requirements of the
department, and have or acquire within three months a valid Class B CDL with air brakes and
tanker endorsement.

Position begins at $27.70/hour with excellent benefits. City may assist with attaining CDL. EOE
