Community Visioning

You are invited to participate in a Walking Audit in Forest City!
Healthy Hometown Powered by Wellmark will conduct a walking audit in Forest City on Monday, November 13th from 2 to 5pm at the Chamber & Grow Forest City office (In the Cooper Building at 145 S. Clark St.).  Community members & experts will walk a designated route together while observing and commenting about their experience. The information is then gathered into a report with expert opinion and recommendations for improvement projects within the community.
We will begin with a brief introductory meeting, walk for an hour and a half, then meet again to summarize our experiences. Each of us has different capabilities, views and usage of our community sidewalks and trails as we move about within our community. Join us to share your thoughts!
Along the route, Healthy Hometown experts will engage the group in conversation about their opinions and identify elements that can be improved to make walking and biking more accessible and safer.
Community participation is essential in providing feedback so barriers and challenges to residents can be identified and corrected. Please share this email with friends, neighbors and co-workers. This opportunity is open to any Forest City resident.
RSVP to Norma at Grow Forest City at 641-585-1160 or growfc@forestcityia.com with your contact information (phone & email) if you are interested in walking with the group on Monday, November 13th from 2-5pm.
